Metadata Specialist (Part-Time)

Job Description:

Do you have experience/training/interest in media/content production? Digitalsmiths is seeking a metadata specialist that will play a critical role in the delivery of our service to our customers. We are a process driven, highly motivated, fast-paced team, and you should consider no task too big or too small.

Reports to:

Manager, Media Operations

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Watch video content (such as games, sports shows, etc.), and using our technology, you will create an index that determines how the content will be later viewed.
  • You will make decisions about which content to highlight, write headlines for these clips, QA your work and participate in other areas of production as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience/interest in working with Video Content or Internet Video
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • BA/BS degree preferred, experience or education in the media/video industry a plus
  • Must feel at ease working with computers
  • Must have excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Interest and enthusiasm for media programming
  • Self-starter who is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to get the job done
  • High level of attention to detail
