Sales Director
Summary:
We are searching for an exceptional Sales Director who can grow in a dynamic, creative and results driven environment. This person will be responsible for developing and executing new business opportunities within in their respective markets. This person will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Create, implement and own a sales pipeline to manage new customer acquisitions, outbound activity, prioritization and metrics for measurement of deal status.
- Achieve sales goals on a quarterly/yearly basis
- Develop relationships with C-level, VP and DirectorFlevels with major studios, broadcasters, distributors, publishers, cable providers add additional markets).
- Represent Digitalsmiths at events/ shows, industry events.
- Aggressively prospect, qualify and close potential clients generated through outbound calling, email initiatives and attending appropriate industry events defined by sales management
- Promptly and proactively address incoming inquiries generated through web advertising and marketing campaigns.
- Generate your own sales targets via research, industry articles and specific targeted verticals defined by the sales and marketing strategies.
- Keep current with industry trends that are relevant to targeted vertical markets
- Maintain sales pipeline with weekly reports to sales management.
- Provide high touch account management with current client base.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 10+ years sales experience in one of the following markets i.e., enterprise software, digital media, digital rights management, etc).
- Past success working for an early stage company in the digital media market or similar markets).
- Existing contacts with: studios, programmers, production companies, website owners, IPTV providers, cable companies and distributors, digital media and digital advertising.
- Demonstrated ability to be creative in terms of deal structure and framework
- Strong communication skills to convey programs and creative advertising opportunities.
- Proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.
- An entrepreneurial approach to business that partners with clients.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, selfFdriven, and ambitious to drive sales and revenue for the company
- Responsible, selfFdirected individual who knows what needs to be done and operates with urgency, focus, discipline and minimal supervision.
