Matthew Berry
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Matt Berry is a successful entrepreneur and senior technology executive. Matt has started and built several technology companies. In each instance, he was instrumental in not only the development of the company, but also the technical direction of the product. After exiting his last venture, Shortgrass Technologies, he took over a business development position at a publicly traded semiconductor engineering firm in Austin, Texas. As Digitalsmiths’ COO/CTO, Matt is responsible for leading the global development strategy for the company’s market-leading product, Digitalsmiths Seamless Discovery. Matt graduated from Southern Illinois University.
Chris Ambrozic
Sr Director of Products
Chris Ambrozic joined Digitalsmiths in January 2014 as Sr Director of Products. Over the past 15 years, Chris’ work experience has included management roles in Applications Engineering, Sales, Product, and Business Development. Chris has worked across multiple industries including pharmaceuticals and biopharma, semiconductors, medical devices, chemical manufacturing, and media discovery covering both software and hardware based solutions. Throughout his career, Chris has been passionate about the application of data analytics solutions that drive real-time decision making and optimization. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo.
Isaac Kunkel
Vice President, Engineering
With more than 20 years experience in software development and management, Isaac Kunkel serves as VP of Engineering for Digitalsmiths, and is responsible for the design, development, quality assurance and application support for the company’s products and software services. Prior to Digitalsmiths, he was a senior development manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, where he was responsible for a large e-Business Application Development Team that delivered strategic projects for the health care provider’s B2B and B2C businesses. Isaac also has held management and development positions at MCI WorldCom, Prudential Insurance and Unisys. He has been instrumental in obtaining several patents, is certified by the Project Management Institute and holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Penn State University. In addition, Isaac is an Advisory Board member for IT People Corporation in Durham, NC.
Tyler Winton
Vice President, Client Services
As Vice President of Client Services, Tyler Winton is passionate about delivering meaningful solutions and excellent service to content producers, programmers and distributors. Tyler boasts more than 12 years of experience in consulting, product development, project management and account management, and has worked across multiple verticals including media and entertainment, mobility/telecommunications, information technology and health care. Prior to Digitalsmiths, Tyler led the program management office at Motricity, a leading mobile content solutions provider, where he spearheaded commerce and portal solutions for AT&T, Alltel, Sprint and others, and received the Excellence in Customer Relations award in 2007. Tyler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
David Luks
Vice President, Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, David Luks oversees core product development. David has been a member or leader of cutting-edge software development teams for more than 20 years. He specializes in facilitating communication through the use of Agile development. Prior to Digitalsmiths, David was a Senior Manager at NetApp, managing the delivery of the SnapManager product line. He also served as Director of Development at Motricity, and as Development Manager/Senior Engineer at Inso/EBT. At Inso/EBT, he was responsible for designing and developing an early structured document search engine. David has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown University.
Billy Purser
Vice President, Marketing
Billy brings to Digitalsmiths more than 15 years of marketing experience in the tech industry, along with a successful track record of bringing new technologies and applications to market. As the Vice President of Marketing, Billy is responsible for developing the corporate marketing strategy and executing marketing plans. Most recently Billy directed marketing efforts for Health Decisions, where he established the company as the leader in technology solutions for agile clinical development. Prior to Health Decisions, Billy headed global marketing efforts for ChannelAdvisor, a leading e-commerce software provider.
