Digitalsmiths Corporation announced the release of AdSafe and AdIQ. Both new products integrate into VideoSenseTM, the video advertising industry’s first completely automated multi-platform contextual video ad targeting solution. With the introduction of AdSafe, Digitalsmiths’ VideoSense can now ensure that advertisers' brand and advertising messages will only be seen adjacent to the most appropriate content. AdIQ further extends the value of contextual advertising by providing competitive brand targeting capabilities. Digitalsmiths is the first and only contextual video ad targeting company to offer the ability for brands to compete head to head.

“Today, consumers have unprecedented control over the content they watch and finding ways to engage them in this highly segmented marketplace is challenging,” said Ben Weinberger, CEO and Founder of Digitalsmiths Corporation. “AdIQTM and AdSafeTM meet this challenge by enabling VideoSense to aggressively seek out rivals’ ads and generate competitive placements, all while protecting the marketers’ brand and message.”

When planning a media buy, an advertiser may elect to target their ads to specific types of content while simultaneously protecting their brand against placement within objectionable content. With AdIQTM, for example, Coca-Cola could choose to target ads within sports video content, and further specify that their ads appear any time a competing brand name, such as Pepsi, is seen or mentioned in a video.

AdSafeTM provides protection from ad placement in objectionable content, including material with mature, violent or otherwise inappropriate themes. Using a content rating system, AdSafe enables marketers to set their advertising placement thresholds using several different content parameters.
