Digitalsmiths working with DG Entertainment won the coveted Golden Muse Award from the PROMAX & BDA Global Marketing Conference for its innovative interactive database created for the hit Columbia Tristar series, JUST SHOOT ME. Additionally, the Silver Muse Award was won for development of the interactive Davis*Glick Entertainment web site.
The Promax award, the highest form of recognition in the promotion industry, was given for the JUST SHOOT ME database, an interactive video search platform to help television station personnel produce commercials. The database features a method for quick production of television commercials through locating specific clips in the database-as opposed to viewing an entire show and selecting individual clips; a graphical user interface for easy navigation through information; a search feature for quick reference of specific show information, i.e. finding a scene or a particular character with the use of a keyword; the ability to create custom data sorts; and a reduction in time for producing commercials allowing the client to focus on creativity.
Digitalsmiths and Davis*Glick Entertainment have produced other video search systems including for show such as SEINFELD, FRIENDS, SEX & THE CITY, HARRY POTTER, KING OF QUEENS and others.
Robbie Davis, owner of DG Entertainment, says "Digitalsmiths has been remarkable in their ability to take on a sophisticated set of challenges and come up with the perfect software solutions. They have been instrumental in helping us create innovative systems for the content management of some of Hollywood's top studios. Working with them is always a pleasure."
